SERIES: Ellora's Cave author - Lacey Savage

Award-winning author Lacey Savage loves to write about her dreams — or more specifically, she loves to breathe life into her steamy fantasies (and she’s got plenty!).

She pens erotic tales of true love and mythical destiny, peopled with strong alpha heroes and feisty heroines. A hopeless romantic, Lacey loves writing about the intimate, sensual side of relationships.

She currently resides in Ottawa, Canada, with her loving husband and their mischievous cat.

Title: A STRANGER'S TOUCH
Publisher: Ellora's Cave

What do you think the readers will like about this book/series?
I think readers will primarily be fascinated by Roxi's unusual profession. She's part of a living art exhibition, which means she's on display at all times.

Did I mention she's naked and blindfolded, as well as bound? Or that people can touch, fondle, and caress her as they wish? This isn't your average 9-5 job, that's for sure! That's why a woman in her profession needs a bodyguard. And that's where Donovan, the sexy werewolf hero, comes in.

A STRANGER'S TOUCH

Roxana Leventis spends her evenings blindfolded and strapped into a harness. As living art, she’s appreciated with all the senses. That means being touched, fondled and caressed in the most intimate ways.
Donovan Armstrong thinks his latest assignment is just another security gig, guarding priceless paintings. Boring stuff for a wolf shifter, but he plans to return home to Canada as soon as he finds a suitable mate, the kind of shifter female who’ll stun his pack with her perfection. After four years of searching, however, his temporary stay in New York is starting to look pretty damn permanent.

Until one whiff of Roxi’s scent awakens his dormant inner wolf. Taking her as his mate is unthinkable. She’s not a shifter, and her delicate human body is much too fragile to withstand his animal urges. Still…neither man nor beast can ignore the way she stirs their blood.

Donovan’s job is simple—protect Roxi from overzealous gallery visitors. But who’s going to protect her from him?
Roxi is part of a living art exhibition — one where she’s bound, blindfolded and put on display for people to touch, fondle, and caress. This is not your average 9 to 5, that’s for sure!

A STRANGER'S TOUCH is available at all electronic retailers, and directly from Ellora's Cave.

What themes or tropes appear in your books?
I write primarily about women's sexual fantasies. I'm a firm believer in erotic romance as a portal between our rich inner fantasy world, and our real lives.

So my heroines are often acting out some kind of sexual fantasy, whether they know it or not. From Roxi who spends her days bound as living art in A STRANGER'S TOUCH, to Maddie who makes prank phone calls to strangers and talks dirty to them in VOICES IN THE DARK, my heroines are a little wild, sometimes outrageous, but always vulnerable and deeply authentic.

What is the single, most important thing about writing for you?
I write as a way to make sense of our most intimate relationships -- those we have with our loved ones, and with our own sexual selves. (Gee, that sounds just a touch more psycho-analytical than I'd have liked; but it's the truth.)

What new project are you working on now?
I'm actually right between projects at the moment. I'm toying with an idea about a married couple who, on their tenth wedding anniversary, decides to spruce things up in some pretty unconventional ways.

How do you balance writing, family and other commitments?
I'm lucky to be able to write full time, so balancing writing with everything else has gotten a whole lot easier than it used to be when I had a full-time day job. These days, I treat writing like a 9-to-5 job and fit family and commitments around my work schedule.

What three authors would we find you reading once you finished writing a book?
Oh my… only three? I'd have to say Dean Koontz, Janet Evanovich and Lisa Unger.

If you walked into a store that sold anything and everything, what three things would you put in your shopping cart that would reflect your personality?
A string of pearls, a box of dark chocolate, and a pair of handcuffs.

When I'm alone, I… sing along with the radio at the top of my lungs.
I love pizza with… ham and pineapple.
I would never… sky-dive because… I'm terrified of heights.
My secret vice is… cotton candy. I can eat it by the tub-full in one sitting!

You can find Lacey on her...website, Twitter, and Facebook.

SERIES: Ellora's Cave author - Kelli Scott

I've run series on science fiction romance and DownUnder paranormal romance, and the wonderful authors who've been my guests have provided fascinating insights into the genres. They've also given us some great titles to add to our To be Read piles.

So I thought it might be fun to feature another genre I enjoy reading - paranormal erotic romance. Or more specifically, authors who write paranormal erotic romance for Ellora's Cave. :-)

Please welcome my next guest...Kelli Scott.

Kelli Scott, a former airline employee, spent her career globetrotting the world, leaving broken hearts and empty champagne flutes in every port.

Turning over a new leaf, she started her own now defunct religion, also revolving around champagne.

Currently a recluse living on a mountaintop in the Appalachians, she enjoys rock gardening, taxidermy and writing her semi-autobiographical memoirs.

Title: HAIR OF THE DOG – A paranormal shifter tale set in a small tourist town ripe with mystical lore, plenty of charm and quirky characters. Throw in some witty banter, a steamy love story and a surprise twist that ends with a bang.
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave.

HAIR OF THE DOG
When Grant, mayor of Mystic Springs, asks Ivy to run the Mystic Springs resort, she’s so thrilled, she accepts the job without so much as visiting the town first. Then she arrives and meets Grant—and her goals change. She got her dream job, and now she wants Grant…preferably at her mercy in the bedroom.

Grant’s inner animal is desperate to take Ivy. And he’s not joking about the “animal” part—Grant and most of the Mystic Springs residents are shifters. The spring is more than a landmark, it’s the touchstone that grounds their powers and keeps them on the human side of the shifter spectrum. But the spring is running dry…

The townspeople are convinced Ivy is the woman who was prophesied to rejuvenate the spring. Local legend is rife with rumors of sex rites that might help, and Grant’s only too happy to give them a go. He just has to convince Ivy that he’s the man—er, wolf?—for her.

What themes or tropes appear in your books?
Water. I love to add an ocean, lake, pond or river to my stories.

Weather. Inclement weather makes people’s clothes fall off or makes them run for cover where their clothes can fall off.

Family. No matter the situation, throw some family at it and watch the sparks fly. Or food. Or fur. Depending.

What is the single, most important thing about writing for you?
It keeps me sane. No, wait. It makes me insane. I enjoy the worlds I create and hope others do too. Writing keeps me entertained for hours. When I’m not writing I’m talking about writing or Tweeting (which is sort of like writing). So the single most important thing about writing for me is the writing.

What new projects are you working on now?
I have contracted a Quickie® to Ellora’s Cave, titled Passion Pill and another titled Costume Ball. I have contracted a novella titled Silk Stalkings, also to EC and a short story titled Rub Me the Right Way to Decadent Publishing. And I hope readers will love HAIR OF THE DOG because I’m excited to write more stories set in Mystic Springs.

How do you balance writing, family and other commitments?
Not very well. I work on my writing at my day job. I write when I should be exercising. I write when I can’t sleep.

I do social networking while I’m supposed to be watching TV with my research assistant, Guillermo. I barely cook or clean anymore. My yard looks absolutely apocalyptic. Everyone in my life is neglected, and yet, I have many unfinished writing projects on my laptop.

What three authors would we find you reading once you finished writing a book?
I love Janet Evanovich. I’m in love with John Grisham. And I read a fair amount of Sue Grafton. My reading life is also neglected. I read a lot of Ellora’s Cave authors too.

If you walked into a store that sold anything and everything, what three things would you put in your shopping cart that would reflect your personality?
Socks because my feet are always cold, even in summer. Six-pack of Bud Light—the reason seems obvious. Nice&Easy #110 because I’m too young to be gray.

When I’m alone... I watch cheesy Hallmark movies in my PJs while eating popcorn and M&Ms. Try it. Trust me.

I love pizza with…veggies, but also pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple (mostly pineapple). It’s a toss-up.

I would never…jump out of a perfectly good airplane ...because… I’d rupture my vocal cords screaming on the way down.

My secret vice is…watching celebrities do just about anything. Celebrity Wife Swap. Celebrity House Hunters. Rachel and Guy Celebrity Cook Off. Celebrity Jeopardy week. I hate myself for loving them. :-)

SERIES: Ellora's Cave author - Virginia Cavanaugh

I've run series on science fiction romance and DownUnder paranormal romance, and the wonderful authors who've been my guests have provided fascinating insights into the genres. They've also given us some great titles to add to our To be Read piles.

So I thought it might be fun to feature another genre I enjoy reading - paranormal erotic romance. Or more specifically, authors who write paranormal erotic romance for Ellora's Cave. :-)

Please welcome my latest guest...Virginia Cavanaugh.

Virginia Cavanaugh is a multi-published author of erotic romance. Her work covers many sub-genres as new characters present themselves to her every day. After working for years as a nurse in pediatrics, her love of the alpha hero sparked her desire to bring her own stories to life.

When not playing house wife, mother, maid, laundress, taxi driver, or just general all around slave, she enjoys finding a quiet corner to read or work on her next story.

Virginia loves to hear from readers.  You can email her at authorvirginiacavanaugh@gmail.com

Title: THE FIRE INSIDE
Publisher: Ellora's Cave

What do you think the readers will like about this book/series?

I think it is a good blend of humor, action, and sensual moments.

THE FIRE INSIDE

Werewolves be damned. Tyra Smith had chosen to leave behind her very own nature to protect her heart after the heart wrenching loss of her own pack. She wanted nothing to do with another wolf. Never again wanted to feel the deep pain of loss. At least until a sexy as sin wolf named Konrad showed up, saving her from the roaming paws of another wolf.

The sparks of lust ignited a desire that burned with hellish intensity inside her, making her crave something she’d dared to forsake. The ability to resist waned. Was it a true mate bond that pulled her to him or just the heat cycle she was entering? Something only time could tell.

When a real threat from another pack presents itself, Tyra must move into Konrad’s den for her physical protection. But as things continue to heat between the two of them, would he also be able to protect her heart?

What themes or tropes appear in your books?
Werewolves blending into society, as well as external pack tension and fights.

What is the single, most important thing about writing for you?
Telling the story. I enjoy sharing worlds and characters with others.

What new project are you working on now?
Currently I am working on another werewolf story that will be a part of a multi author, paranormal series for Ellora’s Cave. All the stories will have a paranormal element and be based in the same castle turned hotel. I’m one of the few authors that put the proposal packet together, so I’ve seen all the synopsis’ that the authors sent in, and I can’t wait to see these stories once they are done.

How do you balance writing, family and other commitments?
I’m lucky in that all my children are in school. I write while they are gone during the day. In summer it gets to be a little trickery. I have to still moments here and there.

What three authors would we find you reading once you finished writing a book?
This is a hard question, because I like so many. I guess if I had to choose I would say, Kresley Cole, Karen Marie Moning and Laurann Donher.

If you walked into a store that sold anything and everything, what three things would you put in your shopping cart that would reflect your personality?
 Chocolate, coffee and a book.

When I'm alone, I... write.
I love pizza with... everything on it except anchovies.
I would never...eat frog legs...because...it just sounds gross.
My secret vice is...coffee.

You can find out more about Virginia at her website, blog or follow her on Facebook, Twitter, or Goodreads.

SERIES: Ellora's Cave author - Camryn Rhys

I've run series on science fiction romance and DownUnder paranormal romance, and the wonderful authors who've been my guests have provided fascinating insights into the genres. They've also given us some great titles to add to our To be Read piles.

So I thought it might be fun to feature another genre I enjoy reading - paranormal erotic romance. Or more specifically, authors who write paranormal erotic romance for Ellora's Cave. :-)

Please welcome my guest...Camryn Rhys.

Camryn Rhys grew up on the border of Canada and the US, and still hasn’t decided which country to call home. She splits her time between the Alberta and Montana Rocky Mountains, with friends and family in both beautiful locations.

After running her own restaurant for several years and acquiring advanced degrees in writing, foodie romance seemed the only logical option. When she’s not watching the Food Network, she’s reading a romance novel, or if absolutely necessary, working as a consultant. Someone has to put really excellent food on the table.

Title: AIRSHIP SEDUCTION
Publisher: Ellora's Cave

What do you think the readers will like about this book/series?
It's all about Victorian Europe's War on Magic, and there are bad scientists, good warlocks, hot werewolves, and sexy demons. Plus, one man's plot to take over the world. Foiled or unfoiled? Hmmm. So fun! :)

AIRSHIP SEDUCTION

When Victorian Europe declares war on magic, Sacha Camomescro—an Empath demon with an airship—might be the only thing standing between progress and apocalypse.

Sacha Camomescro, an Empath demon with an airship, is rescuing refugees from Victorian Europe’s war on magic when she meets a man unlike any other. Javier Vargas is a lone alpha werewolf, his pack nearly decimated by assassins, his appetite for justice superseded only by his desire for her.

But Sacha’s gift is also her curse. While reading minds is helpful in eluding the assassins sent by Europe for Progress, it cripples her ability to trust men, and enjoy sex, for she can always see the fantasies men have when they’re with her. But Javier has a single-minded focus when it comes to his pursuit, and he wants her.

Just when it seems she can trust him, Sacha’s crew starts getting picked off mid-flight, and it seems there’s a rabid animal at fault. Javier and his lone remaining pack member fall under suspicion, and in the hysteria, Sacha begins to lose control of her mission. Blindsided by passion, she must decide if she can trust the one man who wants her just as she is.

Excerpt here

What themes or tropes appear in your books?
I use food a lot. :) If they're not eating or cooking, they're having sex. I guess I should have them working out more often...

What is the single, most important thing about writing for you?
That it's consistent. When I get out of the pattern of writing, I get side-tracked and very distracted. But if I write consistently, I do much better, and I tend to keep inside my stories more easily. I'd like to think, also, it's a sign of a professional that your writing is regular. Like a real job. :)

What new project are you working on now?
I'm working on the sequels to AIRSHIP SEDUCTION, because the story doesn't end at the end of the book.

How do you balance writing, family and other commitments?
It is definitely not easy. I have a full-time job, I'm an RWA chapter President, I have a delicious chef boyfriend who has a beautiful child, and I try to write in my free time.

It's insane. But the way I make it work is that I spend about ten minutes every morning, and then thirty minutes at the start of every week just planning out how I'm going to get through my to-do list.

Before I get out of bed in the morning, I mentally go through my day and make sure I'm being strategic about my choices. And then every Sunday night, I sit down with my weekly calendar and spend some time dividing up the tasks I need to do.

I generally also budget some time each day for things to "come up" that need tending to. But most of my time is scheduled.

However. That's what allows me to work 60+ hours a week, have a social life, and release eight books in a year (sometimes two in one day!). People ask me all the time how I'm able to do everything I do, and my answer is always "Organization and Multi-Tasking". :)

What three authors would we find you reading once you finished writing a book?
Eden Bradley, Joey W. Hill, and Gail Carriger.

If you walked into a store that sold anything and everything, what three things would you put in your shopping cart that would reflect your personality?
Florentines, some kind of organizational tool (like a new day planner), and a new coffee mug. :)

When I'm alone, I... eat Florentines.

I love pizza with... fruit on it.

I would never... move to Europe ...because... I am a chicken when it comes to where I live.

My secret vice is... Caramel. Easily.

SERIES: Ellora's Cave author - Gem Sivad

I've run series on science fiction romance and DownUnder paranormal romance, and the wonderful authors who've been my guests have provided fascinating insights into the genres. They've also given us some great titles to add to our To be Read piles.

So I thought it might be fun to feature another genre I enjoy reading - paranormal erotic romance. Or more specifically, authors who write paranormal erotic romance for Ellora's Cave. :-)

Please welcome my latest guest...Gem Sivad.

Hi, my name is Gem Sivad. If you’ve seen me on Twitter, Facebook or a romance loop, it was probably only a quick glimpse.

I lurk a lot, say “hello” to the authors I know, read the daily updates and enjoy humanity from a distance. Because I have hermit tendencies, I live in a country setting near a small unincorporated town with a population of five hundred (give or take a wild turkey or two).

I’ve been writing for Ellora’s Cave since 2010 when they contracted my historical western, Eclipse Heat series. Three books, Quincy’s Woman, Perfect Strangers and Five Card Stud are now available. Wolf’s Tender, Breed True, Trouble in Disguise and Whispering Grace are scheduled to release in 2012 and 2013.

In my first paranormal story, I’ve currently ventured from the 1800’s to a place in the 21st century where old magic prevails.  Call Me Miz features heroine, Missouri Hess, a witch/healer living in Bitter Creek Holler.  My hero, Thomas Hunter is a shape-shifting government Special Forces Operative who spends half his time in jaguar form. I enjoyed these two so much, a second story wrote itself. Hexual Healing will release from Ellora’s Cave October 12th and is currently available for pre-buy at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Title:  HEXUAL HEALING
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave.

What do you think the readers will like about this book/series?
Hot sex combined with fast paced action, humor and intriguing paranormal possibilities.

HEXUAL HEALING
Harvest the magic of Samhain and sex
Heal the beast, rebound the hex
Burn, witch, burn…

Incantations, scryings and hexes abound when hedge witch Missouri Hess breaks out her rough magic. The Autumn Solstice is days away, Bitter Creek Holler is pulsing with mountain mysticism, Miz is burning up with enough sexual energy to light up Fenway Park and her lover is MIA. She…is…pissed.

Nothing in his military, shapeshifting, Special Forces background has prepared Thomas Hunter for the torture of jaguar mating heat or the wrath of a furious witch. Though he’s on a mission in DC, his beast wrests control, returning them to their mate.

After Thomas delivers his own brand of sexual healing, it’s back to DC, with Miz. There’s twisted magic at work. Someone has unleashed a snake-eyes death hex. Good thing Miz is all about hexual healing. And Thomas stands ready to take all the heat from her sexual burn.

What themes or tropes appear in your books?
I think you’ll always find determined women who have a strong sense of self-worth in each of my books.

What is the single, most important thing about writing for you?
Time to play with the voices in my head. *wink*

What new project are you working on now?
BARE CLAWS (working title) the third book in my Bitter Creek Hollow series.

How do you balance writing, family and other commitments?
I have a husband to help.  Mr. GS is proud of my success and urges me on, volunteers to “test” the erotic aspects of each book, and smiles at me over take-out.

What three authors would we find you reading once you finished writing a book?
Christina Dodd, Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews.

When I'm alone, I... write.
I love eating pizza with... friends ...and... like anything on it but garlic.
I would never... quit writing ...because... I can’t.
My secret vice is... long log pretzels with heavy salt. *yum*

SERIES: Ellora's Cave author - Kate Hill

I've run series on science fiction romance and DownUnder paranormal romance, and the wonderful authors who've been my guests have provided fascinating insights into the genres. They've also given us some great titles to add to our To be Read piles.

So I thought it might be fun to feature another genre I enjoy reading - paranormal erotic romance. Or more specifically, authors who write paranormal erotic romance for Ellora's Cave. :-)

Please welcome my guest...Kate Hill.

What do trips around the world, endless nights of breathtaking sex, and a muscular, 6-foot 3-inch, brown-haired, blue-eyed significant other have to do with Kate Hill? Absolutely nothing, but she can dream, can't she? In reality Kate is a vegetarian New Englander who loves writing romantic fantasies.

Currently, she might not be traveling around the world, but Kate has visited Europe and Africa and those beautiful places have been wonderful inspiration for her writing. While working at various times as a clerk, assistant karate instructor, house painter and banker, Kate dreamed of being an author. In 1996 her first short story was accepted for publication and since then she has sold over one hundred short stories, novellas and novels.

Kate's stories, The Chieftain's Bride and Vampire Master, have won The Romance Studio's CAPA and in 2002 her vampire novel, The Immaculate, was nominated for a Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award.

When she's not working on her books, Kate enjoys reading, working out, and researching vampires and Viking history.

Title: MYSTERY STALLION
Publisher: Ellora's Cave

What do you think the readers will like about this book/series?
I think what readers enjoy about the Horsemen series is the fantasy of a half-man, half-beast. From reader comments, they seem to like the way characters mingle throughout the series. Several of the characters appear in most of the books, so readers can continue following the lives of previous heroes and heroines.

In MYSTERY STALLION, the hero, Grigori, was introduced as a secondary character in Victory Stallion.

MYSTERY STALLION
Long ago a striped Horseman lost his heart to the only Horsewoman ever born. Feared and rejected, he allowed his bitterness to destroy them both. Since then, no striped Horseman has ever known love...until now.

Sold into slavery by his father, Grigori de Forest arrives home twenty years later to reclaim his birthright. Now lord of a land where superstitious villagers despise and fear him because he bears "the marks", he intends to live alone in his family's ancestral castle.

Since childhood, Violeta has been fascinated by the mysterious Grigori, whose striped coat sets him apart from other Horsemen. Desperate for work and knowing he has run off all his servants, she requests he hire her to cook and clean. She doesn't realize that he remembers her for an act of kindness toward him years ago.

Lust spurred on by shared dreams hurls them into a storm of passion, but their love and lives are endangered by the villagers and a plague that threatens to destroy the mighty race of Horsemen.

Link to book video for MYSTERY STALLION.
Purchase link for MYSTERY STALLION.

What themes or tropes appear in your books?
Though I've written stories without paranormal aspects, I usually include some type of supernatural theme in my books. Whether it's magic, shapeshifters, vampires, or aliens, I truly love the supernatural and enjoy writing about otherworldly characters and situations.

What is the single, most important thing about writing for you?
The single most important thing about writing to me is to tell a story I enjoy. I honestly feel that if I don't love and believe in the story I'm writing, I can't expect others to like it either.

What new project are you working on now?
Currently I'm working on an adventure romance series set on an alternate Earth. I'm also outlining a new book in the Horsemen series.

How do you balance writing, family and other commitments?
I have no children, but I do have a second job. Writing is my career, so I treat it like any other job by meeting daily goals for new writing, promoting, and working on edits.

What three authors would we find you reading once you finished writing a book?
Three authors whose work I always enjoy are Julia Talbot, Jack Greene, and Charlotte Boyett-Compo.

If you walked into a store that sold anything and everything, what three things would you put in your shopping cart that would reflect your personality?
A jump rope, a horror movie, and an Asian pear.

When I'm alone, I...think too much.
I love pizza with...spinach.
I would never...smoke...because...I don't like the thought of it.
My secret vice... isn't so secret. I love to cross stitch, but once I start a project I have to make sure it doesn't take over my whole life until it's finished!

You can find out more about Kate on her website, Goodreads, or follow her on Twitter, or see her on YouTube.
