TOUCHING SHADOWS

Good friend and fellow author, Gracie O'Neil, is over at Regency Seductions chatting about her debut paranormal romantic suspense novel, TOUCHING SHADOWS.

Art expert and undercover psychic Megan Alistair is still searching for the painting that has haunted her since childhood. When businessman Dominic Stone gets involved, her lifetime's web of secrets and lies begins to unravel. This time her masquerade isn't protection; it's a threat—against Megan, but worse, against the man she’s learning to love.

Megan Alistair has a gift; simply by touching a work of art she can tell whether it’s a forgery or a real master. But in the art world those who appreciate such talent can be dangerous, so Megan uses her gift in secret through someone she can trust—art dealer, Annalise Waterford.

Dominic Stone also has a gift; that of financial genius. Everything he touches turns to gold. But while his talent has given him a freedom most people would kill for, it can’t buy him access to elusive family secrets. Secrets his stepfather died with. Secrets only art dealer Annalise Waterford might reveal.

Only problem? Annalise is missing—and half the art underworld is looking for her.

When Stone learns Megan may know where Annalise is hiding he’ll do whatever it takes to get the information. But Megan doesn’t need anything Stone can offer her—and couldn’t take it, even if she did. Because there’s more at stake than lost secrets and a missing art dealer, and Megan is better acquainted with Stone than he can imagine. Enough to be certain some things should stay hidden, and that any future together might well destroy them both.

GUEST AUTHOR: Kerri Williams

Kerri is an Australian Author with a love for romance and suspense.

She lives on the Mid North Coast of NSW (Australia) with the luxury of the lush country with it's rolling green and golden hills and the coast with its sparkling sea and clean beaches at her doorstep. With such beauty readily available it made it easy to incorporated what Australia has to offer in her novels scenery.

She has been writing on and off since she was sixteen when she met the love of her life-her dear husband, and between having two beautiful daughters Kerri kept on writing with the dream of sharing her love for all things romance and suspense with other readers.

Kerri, welcome to my blog! It's great to have you here. Let's start with learning a bit about your book.

Title -  NUDGING CUPID
Setting - Think perfect match/Farmer Wants a Wife (match making TV programs in Australia).
Three sexy as sin bachelors have to find love amongst thirteen female contestants with all Australia watching. But what happens when the Producer falls in love with one of the bachelors?
A journey of finding love where you least expect it and the fight to keep it. Between secret agendas, lies, irrevocable bonds and straight out fervent desire, this couple have you believing love concurs all.

Hero – Owen Radcliffe- doctor, sexy bachelor, dependable but has a secret agenda.

Heroine – Ivy Mason- producer, sweet, hot and despite her production, doesn’t believe there is love in the world for her.

Scene you would never cut -  It’s too hard to explain so I’ll give you a piece of it...

She shook her head and he could see she was trying not to laugh as she continued, “There needs to be a favorite and I think it will be you. I had a feeling it would be you when I studied your profile but I am absolutely sure now that we have shared a...err, spent time together. I think if you came into that room as yourself it will change how they all think this game was going to be played. I think your contenders are going to feel a little threatened, but that makes the show more interesting.”

Interesting. “So let me get this straight.” He felt torn between her obvious attraction to him and her willingness to use him to boost her ratings.

She nodded.
“You think I’m attractive?” He waited cheekily for her to confirm, hoping she would remain as candid as she had started.
“Yes.”

Bingo. He flashed his 250-watt smile. “You believe I am more attractive than any man here?”
She laughed lightly as he waited once again for confirmation. “Yes, I said that.”

“So much so, every woman here will want me.” This is fun.

This time she couldn’t help but wholeheartedly laugh before she could answer and the sound made him warm.
“Yes.”

He took the small space that stood between them until he was a mere breath away. “Does that mean you want me?”

Something your hero or heroine would never do or say – They would never say: “I don’t care.”

What's one quirky thing about your hero/heroine? These aren’t exactly quirky but they definitely give you some insight into their characters - Ivy has no qualms in sacrificing her happiness for the greater cause to the point you want to shake her and Owen’s unrelenting belief in their love even when it looks hopeless is inspiring.

What do you think the readers will like about this book? I hope that they will love being swept up in the journey of unequivocal love that Owen and Ivy share, that despite all odds, plans and promises there is no future without the other. I loved writing this one, it was quite different to what I normally write but it just flowed - a story that just had to be told.

NUDGING CUPID
It’s lights, camera and love on the set of Nudging Cupid - Australia’s new television show and Ivy Mason has big plans.

Unfortunately, when it comes to love, nothing goes to plan.

Nudging Cupid was to be Ivy’s first production, the ladder to her success. All she had to do was get three sexy as sin bachelors to find love in a mansion of thirteen beautiful woman and capture it all on film for Australia to watch. How hard could that be?

But all Ivy’s plans go awry when she comes into contact with the dark haired, blue eyed, Owen Radcliff. Somehow, against all her best judgment, Ivy falls for one of her bachelors.

Owen Radcliff wasn’t looking for love – he was looking for revenge. Infiltrating the latest Australian reality TV show was his only way to do it. But when he saves the life of the show’s producer, Owen is suddenly torn between the vow of revenge for his sister and the need to protect Ivy- even from himself.

So, Kerri, what's next for you? I hope that I can find a home for my new suspense series - a three book plan with loads of suspense, romance, action and emotion. I've just started the second one and I’m loving the development of the characters and plot.
It’s quite exciting.

Kerri, I hope you don't mind but you're now in my virtual 'hotseat' :-).
About you...
I’m a mother of two beautiful girls who are known as the ‘Lollies’ due to the ‘Lily & Olivia’ combining with their sweetness. I’m quite proud of their rep. LOL.

I married my teenage boyfriend who I have been with since I was sixteen and we’re still going strong-despite my love for the Winchester Boys of Supernatural. *grin
*

NUDGING CUPID is my second book to be published and yet I still can’t believe I have accomplished my dream, if I was good with pain, I would pinch myself.

Favorite movie of all time – I am a movie buff so I have many but growing up it would  have been Stand By Me and 16 Candles and they still makes me warm. The Notebook and P.S I Love You still makes me cry and Sweet Home Alabama makes me wish I grew up with my husband from an earlier age.

Favorite fairytale – Oh, come on. Who the heck doesn’t want to be swept up by a prince? And they all have those, but I have to say I love the idea of blue birds braiding my hair so Cinderella I guess is what I would go for.

Favorite story to disappear into – All things romantic. I don’t think there is a book that I read that doesn’t have some sort of romantic element in it where I’m rooting for them to get together.

Favorite TV program – Supernatural for the perv and Bones. Oh my gosh, who doesn’t want Bones and Booth to get their act together and just get married.
I know that it could ruin it like ‘Moonlighting’ we all wanted Bruce Willis to get his act together and then when they did get together- they canned the show from lack of emotional conflict, but I think Bones could survive it.

First book you remember reading – Peter Pan
.

Dog or cat person (or other) – Dog, I have three.

Author (living or dead) you'd most like to meet – Shakespeare.

A romantic retreat for you would be...on a secluded island with my husband.
What do you do to unwind or relax? Camping, I love camping.

What era would you like to time travel and visit? And why? I never thought about it before but I think I woud like to visit the late 60’s early 70’s which is only ten years before my time but it just looked so free and loving.

What does love mean to you? This is the hardest to explain, there really are not efficient words in the world that can explain when I look at my husband I can feel this swell in my chest, he is my bestest friend and I would do anything for him and he would do the same. We share a life and plan on doing so forever.

Kerri's first novel, TAKING BACK HIS WIDOW, was released in February 2011 from Eternal Press.
