Italy Trip (part 1)

So much to see, so little time etc. Here's a few photos of my trip around Italy over the last two weeks! I'll try and keep them in chronological order.

Photo 1 - San Vitale church in Ravenna. This city is famous for its incredible mosaics.

Photo 2 - Piazza San Marco, Venice - the city of gondola's and 400 bridges!

Photo 3 - Burano, Venice - a quaint, colourful village famous for its lace-work.

Photo 4 - Verona, home of Romeo & Juliette.

Photo 5 - Me ordering a meal in Piazza Bra in Verona. Check out the size of that menu!

Photo 6 - Roman Arena in Verona. Now used for opera and other performances.

Photo 7 - Juliette's balcony. There's also a statue of her and it's said if you stroke her left breast it'll bring you luck - not sure if I believe that considering how she ended up!

Photo 8 - Travelling the scenic route through the southern alps. Not good if you suffer from motion sickness like I do, but I managed!

Photo 9 - My friend, Erin, and I walking the paths of Cinque Terre in the rain! This is the village of Manarola - look at the terrace farms above the village!

Photo 10 - Monterosso, another one of the five villages in Cinque Terre. We stayed here in the historical quarter.

Photo 11 - Palazza Pfanner Gardens in Lucca. A gorgeous 3 storey palace complete with relaxing garden, fountains and statues of the gods.

Photo 12 - Shutters on every window on every home in Italy.

Photo 13 - A butcher's shop in Lucca - love the food in Italy, need I say more?

  6. I want to know if you stroked Juliet's left breast and then got the request for the full from Berkley. Maybe we should all head to Verona for a bit of breast stroking.

Lovely photos in all three Pic blogs. You could be a professional!
